- Tree-Leaning.
I am a songwriter and singer (of them) from near Manchester in the UK. Most of my songs tell a story. Many of them have a slightly dark aspect to them. I like playing with the tension brought about by a chirpy tune with darker lyrics.
Some of my influences and inspirations are Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Paul Heaton, Kirsty Maccoll, Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Pete Doherty, Alex Turner, Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens, and various poets.
In November 2018, with a band consisting of Jordan Price (Drums), Tomasi Sorosi (Bass) & Sam Winterbottom (Electric Guitar), I supported Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott (formerly of the Beautiful South) on their ‘Last King of Pop’ tour at Blackpool Winter Gardens, Sheffield City Hall, and the Royal Albert Hall to a sold out crowd.
Paul Heaton then gave the track ‘Teddy Bear’ airplay on BBC 6 Music when he appeared as a guest on Radcliffe and Maconie in December 2018.
The song ‘Village Moon’ also received airplay on BBC Introducing songs of the year in December 2018.
You can find my songs on Spotify, iTunes, Soundcloud and YouTube too.
I am currently working on new material.
Thank you very much for visiting my website and checking out my stuff.
